# How-I-Stay-Up-To-Date-In-Cyber-Security: Feeed; The Mobile RSS Reader For iOS **Posted:** 2025-08-31 **Last Edited:** 2025-08-31 --- ## Why It's Important Working as a blue teamer with a strong interest in red teaming, threat research, and malware analysis, I feel constantly exposed to new and evolving threats across a range of different environments and find that staying ahead or up to date on these new threats is incredibly important. Knowing which services, products or applications have recent vulnerabilities can allow you to more efficiently detect and respond to these threats. Additionally, some threat research that is released may detail an entire attack chain for a specific vulnerability so instead of having to manually sift through raw log information, you can hypothesis what has happened and start looking for specific indicators of compromise. --- ## What I Have Tried Over some time I’ve trialled multiple RSS readers and different news apps to keep on top of things. Usually, I would just read articles on "[The Hacker News](https://thehackernews.com/)", "[BleepingComputer](https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/)", or the latest internal threat research from my employer however, this was not consistent and struggled to stay consistent with this. Some of RSS feed reader's that I trialled had restrictions on the number of feeds you could subscribe to, others were bloated with ads, some had bad or slow UI's, or some were just completely locked behind a paywall to be able to get any decent features. My other restriction was iOS and trying to find a good iPhone app. I still do plan to look and trial some Android and Linux RSS reader applications but for now it had to suit iOS for ease of daily use. --- ## What I Have Settled On I eventually landed on [feeed](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/feeeed-rss-reader-and-more/id1600187490), a free iOS app with a clean, minimalistic reading interface. It has no cap on the number of sources you can subscribe to, lets you save a personal reading list, and neatly pulls in images from articles. ![[How-I-Stay-Up-To-Date-In-Cyber-Security.jpg|Feeed Home Page|345x728]] A standout feature I love is its daily AI summary where it compiles a quick and easy digest of the latest news, making it easy to skim through and decide what I want to looker further into. ![[How-I-Stay-Up-To-Date-In-Cyber-Security-1.jpg|AI Daily Summary]] Overall, this journey has definitely been worth it and I personally find that this has been the easiest way to consistently stay up to date on new threats in this industry. --- ## News RSS Feeds and Websites ### BleepingComputer - Website: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ - RSS Feed: http:www.bleepingcomputer.com/feed/ ### The Hacker News - Website: https://thehackernews.com/ - RSS Feed: http://thehackernews.com/feeds/posts/default ### Cyber Security Advisories - MS-ISAC - Website: https://www.cisecurity.org/ - RSS Feed: https://www.cisecurity.org/feed/advisories ### Threat Research – Sophos News - Website: https://news.sophos.com/en-us/category/threat-research/ - RSS Feed: https://news.sophos.com/en-us/category/threat-research/feed/ ### Cyber Security News | Exploit One | Hacking News - Website: https://www.exploitone.com/ - RSS Feed: https://www.exploitone.com/feed/ ### Cyber Security News - Website: https://cybersecuritynews.com/ - RSS Feed: https://cybersecuritynews.com/feed/ ### Palo Alto Networks Security Advisories - Website: https://security.paloaltonetworks.com - RSS Feed: https://security.paloaltonetworks.com/rss.xml ### Trend Micro Research, News and Perspectives - Website: https://www.trendmicro.com/en_au/research - RSS Feed: http://feeds.trendmicro.com/TrendMicroSimplySecurity ### Kaspersky official blog - Website: https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/ - RSS Feed: http://blog.kaspersky.com/feed/ ## YouTube ### Low Level – YouTube - Website: https://www.youtube.com/lowlevellearning - RSS Feed: https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UC6biysICWOJ-C3P4Tyeggzg
